Local.

Lake Manasavor and Mt......behind.

Taking a holy dip.

Mt Kailash. Centre of the Universe.

Horsemen making the kora of Kalaish.

Was invited to a Hindu Punja at holy North face of Kailash.

Cleasned after the Punja.

Knee pads of Tibetan Prostrater. Car tyre inner tube on the outside and cloth stiched to the inside for comfort. Final leg of the Kora where the Barka Plain is re-met.

Atop the ridge and making the small Kora at Tirithupuri Hot Springs and Monastry. Can see Springs in bottom right corner. Was my first full bath in months.

The Chinese stomping ahead again with new roads. I met the steam rollers and my tyres stuck to the still warm tar.

Like a runway. Road bikes soon.

My standard diet. Two minute noodles. Brown rock sugar. Milk Powder. Chocolate bars, processed meat sticks. Army biscuits. Tsampa.

Ina. Met her just after she had made the Aksai Chin. had ridden from Germany, alone, on a single speed.

The road back east from the highest pass in the Aksai Chin 5370m. My camera died just after Ali, so I have very few pictures of the road between Ali and Kashgar. Arguably the most interesting section.

Some nomad kids living in tents at 5300mts. Just before the border with Xinjiang.

The South Western Corner of the Changtang, at the TAR/Xinjiang border.

TAR/Xinjiang Border.

This housed a well. I slept in it to avoid the wind. TAR/Xinjiang Border.

Xinjiang. Whole new ball game. Sunshine and watermelon.

I stopped to lend my pump to a motorcyclist with a flat tyre.
